Firsts...

Man.  Its going to take me FOREVER to type these up..  WHY?  Because I want to come across as intellegent, knowledgable, and whitty..  Sometimes I am.  Most of the time, I'm not.
I may start out that way, and I'll get tired of hitting back space and trying to re-organize my thoughts, so I'll just give up and blurt out anything that I think 1/2 makes my point..
Forgive me in advance, I am not a creative writer.

I am however crafty. ;)

A friend, who's son has high functioning autism had a need.  Her sons occupational therapist recommended that he have a weighted blanket..  I being as insane as I am, see a project and have a "need" to know if I can do it or not.  I may never do anything with these projects, but I KNOW that I can accomplish them.  SO I made one.

The back of the blankie is ultra soft minky fleece, the front is a super soft flannel, in a robot print.. It is approximately 51.5" long by 38.5" wide, and weighs 5lbs.
See?

While its not perfect, for my first attempt, I'm still proud.

I am planning on posting them on my etsy site on custom order soon..  So I may actually DO something with this project knowledge.
